This is an incredible way to save money and time each week! It’s pretty simple – you cook all your meals for a week (or month ~ okay, so that’s just a little bit ambitious!). It may sound overwhelming but if you do it right, it’s pretty simple. The trick is to plan your time, plan your meals (check out Mini-Challenge – Meal Planning in the files), and plan your grocery list. The more you plan before you start the more efficient and economical you will be.
Step #1 Pick a Day. Pick a day that you can devote to just cooking. A day when you will have the least interruptions and the least amount of commitments.
Step # 2 Clean out your freezer. Make room in the freezer for all these yummy meals you’ll be making.
Step # 3 Make a list of all the supplies you may need. Not a grocery list but a list of things you need (you may already have most of them) to put your meals in. You could use freezable Tupperware, Ziploc freezer bags. Now, don’t run out to buy anything until you check what you have on hand! I would recommend Ziploc freezer bags so you can layer them in the freezer without taking up a lot of room.
